I agree that people have "pre-conceived" notions of other cultures/countries and people. There are Deshi's who have the same mis-conceptions about the west...don't they? It is important to bring this to light and bring down barriers, but I have to tell you - it doesn't happen when we, as people, make assumptions or when we use words like "all"...

Hi - "pre-conceived"? How about those "westerners" who are married 17 years to a Deshi - who have family, loved ones, home, and hearth in Bangladesh? Who have friends in Bangladesh? Who spend much and all their free time in Bangladesh?
