First things first, you must learn how to suck a d*ck. Cannot stress that enough. Secondly, if you get squeamish around dead babies I would stay away from the West Coast. Dead baby souls power the film industry. And last but not least you should pick up a drug habit. You could wait and get one after moving, but why not get a jump on it. And Pot doesn't count, you need an adult drug.

Hey "Mr.Aoe" rofl new nickname huh, it's been a long time.YeahYou know i was thinking of moving to LA too after i've done some online research on the different types of film and video editing schools i want to attend to. still making hard decisions i've been getting phone calls from the School Representatives and it's hard for me to make a sudden change. I don't even live in the states and i'm going to have a culture shock.

Hey Lucas, I actually work for a major casting agency. In a nutshell, if you want an audition you're going to firstly need talent, then be represented by an agent and an agent won't represent you unless you've either had previous experience or at least a demo reel of something you've done. If you're not represented by an agent and are an 'independant' then a demo reel may still get you an audition if you can convince the casting director to keep you on file. So 1st, get urself some classes :)

I wouldn't pack up and go to hollywood. You'd need a lot of money just to live in that area and you're not going to get hired off the bat. First work up an acting resume where you are. Find a modeling agent who can get you in commercials/plays and all that jazz. You won't have any trouble getting that far.

One of the first things I'm told by friends and family who do act professionally is, "Do you have any experience?" Showing that you've done any kind of acting--high school dramas, church pageants, local TV--helps agents and casting directors see you are serious and aren't speaking of some vagrant whim.

Mr. AOEguy: Everyone should live in California for a bit. I did LA and SF. Buy some nice Ray Bans and go for it! Don't spend too much time thinking about things, just do it! Cordially, GlobeBar
